The concept of Shivanna was crafted to introduce a unique and premium hospitality experience to Bali. With over 40 years of combined experience, the English and Australian owners bring a wealth of expertise in high standard hotel, bar, wedding and restaurant management, complemented by an extensive history of sailing across the archipelago of Indonesia.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a pastry chef in high-end venues, with specific experience in preparing canapés, tapas, and desserts.
  • Strong expertise in creating a wide variety of pastries, desserts, and sweet dishes that showcase creativity, technique, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent knowledge of dessert presentation, flavor combinations, and plating techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Passionate about pastry arts, with a creative mindset and a desire to innovate.
  • Fluent in bahasa indonesia and english (both written and spoken).
  • Ability to work as part of a team, while also taking ownership of your section and responsibilities.
  • Flexible with working hours, especially for events and special charters.

Key responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the preparation and production of all desserts, canapés, and pastries, ensuring they are of the highest quality and meet the company’s premium standards.
  • Work with the head kitchen to create and innovate new dessert offerings, ensuring they align with shivanna’s concept of luxurious, visually stunning, and delicious cuisine.
  • Prepare and plate desserts, ensuring attention to detail in every creation, especially for special events and private charters.
  • Assist in the preparation of tapas and canapés, working in harmony with other sections of the kitchen team.
  • Ensure all desserts and pastries are ready for service in a timely manner, working efficiently to maintain smooth kitchen operations during high-pressure periods.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pastry section, ensuring all equipment, ingredients, and work areas adhere to strict hygiene and safety standards.
  • Assist in managing inventory, including ordering ingredients, ensuring proper stock levels, and minimizing waste.

Contract inclusions

  • Competitive basic starting salary idr 7,000,000 (four million) p.c.m.
  • Service fees share of all onboard bws sales, including upselling, plus tips.
  • Basic meals provided during service.
  • Annual holiday of 14 days per annum.
  • BPJS kesehatan and ketenagakerjaan.
